How it works

1. Install Package Firewall and sign in with your school email address. Use the same address you check at school, because the sign-in link goes to it.
2. Choose the free student licence in the app. Checkout opens in your browser with the price already at $0.
3. Complete checkout. No card is needed and nothing is charged.
4. You are protected for four years. Your licence shows the date it ends.

What happens after four years

The student licence simply ends. Nothing renews and you are never charged automatically. If you want to keep filtering, subscribe in the app for $30 a year.

Who qualifies

• You sign in with an email address at a school, college or university that we recognise as academic. Most addresses ending in .edu or the academic equivalents in other countries (for example .ac.uk) work.
• One student licence per person.
• Already subscribed at full price? Sign in with your school email and claim the student licence. Your subscription then stops renewing, and you keep what you have already paid for.

A student licence includes up to 5 devices, like the standard plan. Payments are handled by Polar, our merchant of record.

My school isn't recognised

Write to hello@packagefirewall.com with your school and the email address you use. We check it and add your school to the list, so you can claim the student licence in the app.
