Package Firewall$30 a year. Cancel any time.
One subscription covers up to 5 of your devices. It renews every year and you can cancel whenever you like. There is no free trial.
You buy in the desktop app, because that is where you sign in. Prices are in US dollars; taxes are added at checkout where they apply.
- $30 per year (USD), billed once a year
- Up to 5 devices on one licence
- Malware list and 48-hour rule on npm and PyPI
- Renews yearly; cancel any time and it ends when the paid year does
- Full refund on request within 14 days of any charge
Without a subscription, nothing is filtered
Package Firewall only checks installs while you have an active subscription. If you have never subscribed, are signed out, or your subscription has ended, the app does nothing: installs pass through unchecked, exactly as if it were not installed. The app tells you when this is the case.
How to subscribe
Install the app, sign in with your email and choose Subscribe. Checkout opens in your browser and filtering starts as soon as it completes.
Bought here on the website instead? Your receipt email has a licence key. Install the app, sign in, and paste the key on the Account screen to link your subscription.
Invite codes
If we gave you an invite code, enter it on the checkout page. A card is still collected, and you are charged $30 a year when the free period ends unless you cancel first.
Students
Four years free with a school email. See the student page for how it works.
Billing details
- Payments are handled by Polar, our merchant of record. Polar is the seller, collects payment and adds sales tax or VAT where it applies. Your card details never reach us.
- The subscription renews every year on the day you first subscribed. Manage or cancel it from the app, which opens your Polar customer portal.
- Cancelling takes effect at the end of the year you have already paid for. You keep filtering until then.
- Refunds: see the refund policy. In short, ask within 14 days of any charge and you get a full refund.
- Teams pricing is not set yet. See Package Firewall for teams.
